What to expect.
Our beloved Uncle Buck has passed. If you plan to attend, please see the below.

His funeral will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville, Fl 32218. We were given Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 9 am. Bevis Funeral Home is handling his arrangements. We will be riding on an Astro Bus. We need to meet at Bevis located at 200 John Knox Rd. [Tallahassee] at 5 AM to board with a 5:30 AM departure. We will be meeting the Patriot Guard Riders in Lake City and they will be escorting us to the cemetery. After the ceremony we will head back to Tallahassee.

Rev. Buck's wife, Dawn, passed away in 2013






SP5 JOSEPH CALDWELL YEATER, III
Jul 10, 1952 - Jul 26, 2004

SP5 Joseph Yeater was born in Wheeling, West Virginia and died in Guyton, Georgia. Joseph was cremated and his ashes returned to his family who posted the following message:

"Joey as we called Joseph loved to shoot pool and spend lazy days at the river. He also loved St Patrick's Day and loved it when his brother Henry came to spend it with him. He was the Husband of Tina and a father to a son (Jay). God took him too early and he is missed very much."

Joseph C. Yeater, lll  was my brother. He was born in Wheeling W.V. but lived all his life in Savannah Ga., until he moved to Guyton Ga. where he passed.  He passed on July 26, 2004 and was cremated... I have his ashes.

Joseph served in the 281st and is remembered by his fellow Intruders.




JAMES K YAMAMOTO
11 February 1939 - 12 September 1993

James Served in the 6th Aviation Platoon (Fangs) as a SP4 Crew Chief in 1965 and later moved to Nha Trang as part of the unit consolidations that formed the 281st AHC. James was born in California and along with his family lived in a Relocation camp during WWII. James passed away at age 55 in California and is interned in the Sutter Cemetery, Sutter County. California. His wife Geraldine passed away in 2003.




SP4 RALPH YOUNG
2 June 1950 - 9 May 2004

Ralph Young

Ralph served in the 281ST and rose to the rank of SP4. He is interned in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, Plot: Section 51 Site 308. He was survived by his wife, Tia Marie Young who passed away in 2013. The Intruder Family shall always remember Ralph.




WO ROGER A YOUNG, Jr.
21 September 1949 - 30 May 2007

Roger Young

Roger served in the 281st AHC as a Warrant Officer Aviator. Roger died in 2007 and is interned in The East Veterans Memorial Wall of the Desert Memorial Park , Ridgecrest , California. Plot: Col 12.. Roe D, West Bloc. He shall not be forgotten by the Intruder family.
