1.(C) ARMY AVIATION.

a. Aviation Support was provided by the 281st Assault Helicopter Company (-) to

Detachment B-52 (PROJECT DELTA), 5th SFGA, during the period 13 December 1969

to 31 December. The operation was supported by 24 Officers and 60 Enlisted men. There

were (8) UH1H helicopters providing transportation support and (6) UH1C helicopters

for gunship support. Support statistics are as follows:

(3) Number of Passengers: 2064

(4) Weight of Cargo: 26,600

b. Additional helicopter support was provided by the 57th Assault Helicopter Company and

the 215th Assault Helicopter Company for the insertion of the 2nd Airborne Ranger

Company on 20 December 1969.
